English Literature Study Programme

Visual Literature Communities

Visualite, or Visual Literature, is a community in the English Literature Department that focuses on photography, videography, and graphic design. Established on March 1st, 2018, Visualite aims to accommodate students who have passions and hobbies in the field of digital art.

Despite having only a few members and being halted due to the pandemic, Visualite still continues to excel in some activity such as course discussion, photo exhibition, film making, and photo hunting.

In 2018, Visualite adapted Ratih Kumala’s Gadis Kretek novel into a short movie entitled Schizophrenia. Successfully done, this art even get brought by the writer to be presented at SOAS the University of London, England.
