English Literature UIN Bandung Holds Grand Reunion

BANDUNG, AYOBANDUNG.COM – English Literature Alumni of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung (SGD) will hold a grand reunion. The series of events were held on 20, 22 and 23 April 2017.

Head of the English Literature Program Study at UIN SGD Bandung, Lili Awaludin, said the reunion was held to bring together potential alumni in various fields and sectors.

According to him, the reunion is also an opportunity to empower the potential of active students. Alumni, according to him, are the main indicators of educational attainment held by English Literature of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati.

“So, the reunion and alumni organizations are a reflection of the work of study programs both in the past and in the future,” he said in an official statement published.

The Chairperson of the Committee for the grand reunion of English Literature of UIN SGD Bandung, Bayu, said that apart from holding the grand reunion, there will also be a great conference of the Alumni Association of English Literature Program Study.

“This is a very important moment for alumni and students of English Literature at UIN SGD. Because this is the first time that English Literature alumni hold a Grand Reunion,” he said.

He invited all alumni of English Literature of UIN SGD Bandung to attend. Because, he said, if you don’t attend the event, it’s the same as missing history.

Meanwhile, Bunyamin Fasya, one of the alumni who is also a poet from Bandung, said that the presence of English Literature alumni is very necessary to bring back memories during college.

He regretted that the alumni did not participate in the Grand Reunion. “It’s like poetry loses a metaphor if it’s not present,” he said.
